ABOUT THE PROJECT
Description
The Cana Bonita project is a Mediterranean-inspired renovation focused on creating a serene, natural, and breathable sanctuary. The design concept emphasizes “Barefoot Luxury” by harmonizing warm earthy tones with authentic, rustic textures. The goal is to transform the property into a welcoming retreat that perfectly suits the Mediterranean lifestyle, enhancing both its inherent beauty and unique character.
Challenges
The primary architectural challenge is a current lack of sufficient natural illumination throughout the house. The existing layout lacks a seamless flow between interior rooms and the exterior environment, requiring a strategic reconfiguration to improve both the ambiance and functionality of the property.

Solutions
The architectural response centers on “opening up” the structure by introducing new windows and entrances to allow light to flow deep into the space. Key interventions include:
Clear Sightlines: Establishing open views from North to South to create a brighter, more welcoming atmosphere.
New Programmatic Elements: Introducing a Master Bedroom Suite with increased privacy, an open kitchen and a terrace dedicated DJ area.
Landscape Integration: Re-sculpting the exterior with stone walls, a new pool area with a Jacuzzi, and a dedicated sports area.
