ABOUT THE PROJECT
Description
Can Furnet Plot C is a high-end residential project that emphasizes architectural staggered volumes to achieve a bold, contemporary silhouette. The design is a study of geometric precision, utilizing white-washed facades and deep-set apertures
to create a play of light and shadow that changes throughout the day. Oriented to capture panoramic coastal vistas, the residence is conceived as a series of elevated platforms that provide a constant sense of expansion and connection to the
Ibicencan horizon.
Challenges
The project faced the technical challenge of a steeply sloping site, requiring a creative approach to structural retaining walls and vertical circulation. It was necessary to integrate a large programmatic requirement—including subterranean parking and
multi-level living areas—without creating a monolithic or intrusive mass. Architecturally, the obstacle was to provide maximum transparency for the sea views while ensuring thermal comfort and privacy from the neighboring plots in a developing residential area

Solutions
Through strategic volumetric integration, the building’s white forms are staggered to follow the natural terrain, resulting in multiple terraced levels that house the pool, sun deck, and pergolas. This fluid connection between levels is enhanced by the introduction of slim-profile timber fenestration and internal patios, which allow natural light to penetrate deep into the primary living zones. The project further optimizes its footprint by zoning a professional-grade outdoor kitchen and social area beneath a bespoke timber pergola, allowing these spaces to function as a seamless extension of the interior lounge.
